I went back to Mount Takasu this morning.
I arrived at the summit much later than sunrise.
I woke up later than I had planned.
For a moment, I thought about not going at all.
But I went anyway.
And honestly, I did not regret it.
The mountain was quiet.
I had the summit almost entirely to myself while flying my drone again.
This time, I made sure not to accidentally delete any footage.
And more importantly, I made sure to record what actually matters.
When it comes to documenting experiences, the small details matter just as much as the main event.
I recorded my morning from beginning to end.
Not everything.
But enough to capture the atmosphere.
Getting ready at the parking lot.
Walking the silent trail toward the summit.
The sound of birds echoing through the forest.
The calmness of the mountain before the world fully wakes up.
Something else surprised me this morning.
The hike felt easy.
A few months ago, I would have arrived at the top breathing heavily and sweating.
Today, I barely noticed the climb.
No heavy panting.
No exhaustion.
Just steady movement.
Funny how the body quietly adapts when it is challenged repeatedly.
At first, effort feels difficult and noticeable.
Then one day, without realizing it, what once felt hard simply becomes part of you.
