Temperatures reached 31°C today.
Not quite the intense heat and humidity of a Japanese summer yet.
But enough to remind me that the seasons are changing again.
On normal spring or winter days, I usually head out after lunch.
For hiking.
Flying my drones.
Exploring nearby places.
But with rainy season and summer approaching, I already notice myself adjusting my routine.
Long afternoon hikes become exhausting.
Flying drones under the midday sun is not exactly enjoyable either.
So lately, I have been thinking about shifting everything earlier.
Very early.
The sun now rises before 5 a.m.
So perhaps getting out of bed around 4 a.m. is not such a bad idea anymore.
Drive toward a hiking destination before sunrise.
Capture some early morning drone footage.
Hike while the air is still cool.
And return to the car before the summer heat fully arrives.
I do not know if it will work out exactly like that.
Rainy season may force me to adjust again.
But after experiencing three summers in Japan already, I learned something important.
During the hottest hours of the day, it is often better to slow down and stay inside.
To write.
Edit videos.
Rest.
And let the rhythm of the season shape the rhythm of daily life.
For now, early mornings seem like my best option.
