Letting Curiosity Lead

“The early bird catches the worm.”

I do not know exactly where that saying comes from.

But today, it definitely felt true.

I woke up at 4 a.m.

Not because I had to.

I simply felt like getting up and starting the day early.

Usually, my mornings begin with yoga kriyas.

But today felt different.

I wanted to head into nature and capture some early morning footage with my drone.

So I got into the car without even knowing where I wanted to go yet.

I simply started driving toward Mino.

Then deeper into the mountains.

Toward Horado.

Back toward Mino.

Then in the direction of Neo.

But before reaching there, I suddenly decided to drive into Kanzaki Valley.

A secluded valley surrounded by forests, mountains, and the Kanzaki River.

A few months ago, I visited the valley spontaneously for the first time.

I loved it there.

This time, I brought my new drone along for another explorative flight.

Without a real plan.

Without knowing exactly where I would fly.

I simply drove and paid attention to what naturally caught my eye.

I let my curiosity lead instead of my imagination.

Today, I ended up flying my drone in five completely unfamiliar locations.

And somehow, I was back home again before lunch.

Calm.

Satisfied.

Now I am writing this blog post while my drone video uploads in the background.

What a beautiful way to spend a day.
