I Didn’t Plan This Habit

I never drank coffee before I met my wife.

She moved in.
She wanted a coffee machine.

We bought one.

At some point, I started drinking coffee too.

That was in the Netherlands.

Now, years later, I still drink coffee every day.

Not just one kind.

Nespresso.
Drip coffee.
Even iced coffee.

All things I never cared about before.

I didn’t plan any of it.

It just became part of daily life.

Over time, I noticed something else.

I always drink it the same way.

Black.

No sugar.
No milk.

That never changed.

Recently, I bought a new machine.

A Jura E8.

More than I ever thought I would spend on coffee.

But by now, it felt normal.

Not because I decided to get into coffee.

But because it slowly became something I do every day.
