A Black Kite not a Falcon

Before I relocated, I never imagined I would encounter falcons. For several months, I thought I spotted one in the nearby park. However, I recently discovered that what I had been observing was not a falcon, but actually a Black Kite (Milvus migrans), known in Japan as ใƒˆใƒ“ (Tobi).

I have much to learn about the wildlife here.

So, how did I learn about the Tobi? While practicing my drone flights, I took a few snapshots of the bird and uploaded them to ChatGPT. Thatโ€™s when my initial assumption was corrected.

I find it humbling how much there is to know, but thanks to AI, I can now consider myself a bit wiser!
