A while ago, after a visit to Magome, I couldn’t help but be captivated by the stunning beauty of cloud-pruned plants. Intrigued, I delved into studying the techniques and observed professionals at work.

Today, I took the plunge and tried my hand at cloud pruning in our garden. I cloud pruned the second tree from the right hand side on the picture below.

Unfortunately, amidst the creative process, I forgot to capture an after photo. As I wrapped up pruning that tree in our garden, the daylight had already given way to darkness.

Fear not, for the visual transformation awaits in the next installment – Cloud Pruning Part 2.

I’ve decided to share occasional updates on the evolution of my cloud pruning skills. It’s a craft that demands time and practice.

Watching expert gardeners on YouTube, I realized that achieving the lush, dense beauty of cloud-pruned plants, as seen in the first photo above, takes years of growth and meticulous care.

Stay tuned as I document the progress of our garden’s cloud-pruned plants and witness firsthand how this intricate art form unfolds over time – I hope –
