Over the last few days, my wife and I had the joy of hosting our friends from Osaka. Instead of taking them on the usual tourist trail, we gave them something more specialโa private tour of our favorite places here in Gifu Prefecture.
Since weโve explored these spots in different seasons, we knew exactly where to go. It felt good to share places that arenโt always on the map but leave a lasting impression.
One of the highlights was Amida Falls and the peaceful area around it.
Every time I visit, I bring my drones along. Of course, walking the forest trails, listening to the rivers, and standing near the waterfalls is already magicalโbut flying my FPV drones adds another layer of wonder. Each flight teaches me something new, and slowly Iโve become better at capturing these landscapes from unique angles, whether just above the ground or sweeping over the treetops.
If you ever come to Gifu, Amida Falls is definitely worth the trip. To give you a little taste, hereโs my latest video from the area, featuring the Shougahora Rice Terraces, just a short drive away.
