We didnโt plan it. No tripods, no scriptsโjust me, Hiromi, and a camera rolling as we stumbled into history.
Usuzumi-Zakura wasnโt in full bloom when we visited today. Its branches held tight to that early, reddish promise, like it was slowly inhaling before exhaling a thousand soft petals into the world. And honestly, I kind of loved that. It felt personal. Like we caught the tree mid-thoughtโbefore the crowds, before the spectacle.
Thereโs a strange intimacy in visiting a place like this outside its peak. It strips away the postcard perfection and leaves you face to face with the bones of itโthe texture of bark older than legend, the hush of the mountain air, the sense that something ancient is still quietly waking up.
Our vlog wasnโt polished. It was windy, unfiltered, and real. But maybe thatโs exactly how youโre supposed to meet a tree thatโs been waiting 1,500 years to say hello.
Video soon on my channelโsubscribe if you like petals, legends, and mild chaos.
