Japan’s Humid Autumn After Swiss Chill

Arriving back home in Japan feels like a strange homecoming.

I find myself reflecting on the different weathers I experienced recently. In Switzerland, temperatures hovered between 10 to 20 degrees Celsius, and now, in Japan, I’m facing temperatures ranging from 20 to 30 degrees. Not too long ago, I was hiking in some snow-covered mountains, and now Iโ€™m back to the hot, humid summer days in Japan.

Tomorrow promises another warm day, with temperatures soaring to 30 degrees Celsius, and it appears that this trend will continue for the rest of the week, accompanied by some rainy days in the latter half.

Itโ€™s still hot and humid as October starts. My mother will likely be happy to visit Japan for the warmth, escaping the colder and windier autumn in the Netherlands.

Iโ€™m not complaining; itโ€™s just a peculiar homecoming for me.
