Morcote: A Hidden Gem by Lake Lugano

After more than 20 years, I finally returned to Morcote in South Switzerland today.

And guess what? It hasnโ€™t lost its charm. In fact, Hiromi and I explored Morcote more thoroughly than I did two decades ago. Back then, I parked my car near a riverside restaurant and enjoyed dinner at sunset over Lake Lugano.

Today, however, we spent the whole morning wandering through the town’s narrow, picturesque alleys. Morcote hasnโ€™t fallen victim to overtourism just yet, or perhaps we were lucky because the weather was simply perfect and we visited during the low season.

Regardless, I have refreshed my nostalgic memories of Morcote while creating new ones filled with awe and serenity.

Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy. I also captured plenty of footage to capture the ambiance of Morcote, and I plan to create an impressions video once Iโ€™m back home in Japan.
