Hiking Davos: Capturing Scenic Views Without a Drone

Yesterday, I released a short video showcasing some incredible footage I captured with my DJI Neoโ€”before it unfortunately crash-landed into the stunning Lake Davos.

I tried to pick up a new drone here in Davos, but the local Interdiscount was out of stock. As a result, I missed the opportunity to film aerial shots of the breathtaking views we encountered during our 7-hour hike from Jakobshorn to Sertig-Dรถrfli, and back to Clavadel and Davos. While the landscapes were awe-inspiring, I did capture some great footage with my handheld gimbal camera. However, I truly missed the DJI Neoโ€™s unique ability to record landscapes in a smooth and spectacular manner that my handheld camera simply can’t replicate.

I’m on the lookout for a new DJI Neo, as I now believe it’s an invaluable addition to my camera gear. I know I’ve mentioned it quite a bit, but I encourage you to watch my short video from yesterday and see for yourself how drone footage can enhance a video’s visual appeal.

I haven’t had a chance yet to create a proper weekly video, but I plan to catch up on that and might release them once I’m back in Japan.
