Weekly Video Sapporo: Golden Week Hokkaido

I just realized I still have some footage from our trip to Sapporo during last Golden Week, so I’ve decided to create an impressions video for this week.

Hiromi and I had an amazing time exploring the city, thanks in no small part to our friends who live there and showed us around on our first day.

During our 3-day stay, we truly enjoyed our experience in Sapporo. If you’re not familiar with the city, it’s located on the island of Hokkaido. I have to say, it felt quite different from what I expected, especially the landscapes – they reminded me more of my home country, Switzerland, with its lakes and snow-capped mountains. The abundance of skiing slopes further heightened this resemblance.

It felt like a homecoming in a different land.

The weekly video will feature, our impressions of Lake Shikotsu, Sapporo Beer Museum, Genghis Khan Grill, ย Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill and Hokkaido Soup Curry.

Keep an eye out for this week’s video. It will be a simple, sit back, relax, and watch kind of experience.
