After some conversations with my wife, she honestly pointed out that I take too long to publish video content. Her feedback has nudged me towards the idea of releasing weekly videos on YouTube. This initiative is aimed at accelerating my video editing skills.
The focus here is not on achieving perfection right away, but rather on consistently sharing content that resonates with me. This will allow me to gauge the response from both viewers and the YouTube algorithm.
This approach reflects my approach to blogging. By regularly creating and sharing content, I can quickly expand my knowledge, enhance my storytelling, and understand what resonates with readers. Getting started and completing tasks is more important to me than achieving perfection right from the start.
My personal YouTube channel already exists; it shares the same name as this blog, Karl Tschopp Navarat. Despite currently having zero followers, I’m eager to transform it into a platform for regular content. I acknowledge that sharing daily videos would be unrealistic, so I’ve decided to aim for a weekly release. This cadence allows me sufficient time to shoot, review footage, and edit before publication. While video editing consumes the most time, I’m determined to enhance my videography skills.
At present, my YouTube channel will cover a variety of topics that intrigue me, particularly my experiences as a foreigner in Japan and other personal interests.
I envision it as a “Lifestyle Vlog for Japan Enthusiasts.” Over time and through consistent uploads, I’ll discover the channel’s true identity and potentially refine its focus to resonate more with a specific audience.
It’s important to note that I won’t strive for a polished, commercial-style approach in my videos. Instead, I’ll opt for a more authentic, “run and gun” filming style to depict real-life experiences in Japan.
Reflecting on my blog content, I often share lifestyle-related topics for entertainment and information. It wouldn’t be surprising if my YouTube channel follows a similar concept, just in video format instead of written.
Stay tuned for my weekly YouTube videos under the channel name Karl Tschopp Navarat – if you’re interested in my journey.
