Unwavering Commitment: The Path to Growth in Videography and Storytelling

Lately, I’ve been honing my videography skills by editing short videos for YouTube and Instagram. As I aspire to elevate my creativity and professionalism in this art form, I am aware that there is a long journey ahead. Improvement in videography is a gradual process that requires dedication, often spanning hours, days, or even years.

Each day, I devote several hours to shooting, crafting (short) stories, and enhancing my editing techniques. The constructive criticism from my wife serves as the compass guiding me towards refinement. Her candid feedback, highlighting areas for improvement, is invaluable.

While my work is far from flawless at this stage, I understand that the key to growth in videography lies in unwavering commitment and a consistent output of videos.

Learning and practice are essential components of this process. I am fortunate to have access to a wealth of knowledge shared by experienced video creators on YouTube. Each creator offers a unique style and purpose, enriching my understanding of this craft. Particularly, I draw inspiration from Brandon Li, whose cinematic storytelling approach deeply resonates with me. Although I’ve taken some of Brandon Li’s storytelling courses, applying these lessons in reality presents its own set of challenges.

Nevertheless, I am resolute in my pursuit and remain determined to persevere.
