My wife and I just returned from a fishing trip at the Itadori River in Seki. Despite not catching any fish, we had a blast!

We came prepared and fired up our portable BBQ. Luckily, we had some artisan-made Gifu sausages that we bought during our last visit to Tsukechi Gorge. These sausages came in handy for our riverside BBQ today.

Honestly, we didnโ€™t really count on catching any fish since we’re beginners. That’s why we made sure to bring our own breakfast and lunch.

At first, hooking the bait was a bit daunting, and I felt sorry for the worms each time I had to hook a new one this morning. But I guess thatโ€™s part of the fishing experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the serene nature and the pristine, emerald green waters of the Itadori River.
