My wife and I just returned from the fish store, where we picked up some rather unappetizing fish bait โ€“ big, fat, lively maggots, or whatever they are.

Not exactly appetizing, but we chose the fattest and liveliest ones to increase our chances of catching fish in the Itadori River tomorrow.

We also stopped by MEGA Don Quijote UNY Gifu for some drinks and snacks because we can’t solely rely on our fishing success.

Itโ€™s going to be a great outdoor fishing adventure for us, no doubt about it.

We plan to get up at 5 am and leave home before 6 am to arrive around 7 am at the spot we scouted a few weeks ago on the Itadori River in Seki.

Tomorrow’s weather is forecasted to be sunny with a comfortable temperature of around 27 degrees.

Our gear is already packed in the trunk, so we don’t have to scramble for equipment early in the morning.

I also got a DJI Osmo Action 4 camera, which is waterproof and can withstand some rough handling, perfect for capturing water action in the river. I hope to film enough footage to make a YouTube video or at least a reel for Instagram.

Fingers crossed that the fishing gods are on our side tomorrow.
