Unfortunately, our one and only maple tree is infected by powdery mildew. My limited knowledge of plants made it challenging to identify the issue promptly. It appears that the rising temperatures and moisture have accelerated the spread of the mildew.

To address this, I will be pruning all affected branches and leaves, disposing of them in burnable trash. I am hopeful that this action will prevent the infection from spreading to our other garden plants.

Nothing is polished for performance. The aim is steady progress, honest reflection, and practical insight you can actually use.

If youโ€™re curious about life in Japan, learning new skills at your own pace, or finding a calmer, more intentional way forward, youโ€™re in the right place.
