In the heart of Europe, Switzerland, where towering Alps cast their majestic shadow over quaint villages and pristine lakes, I began my journey. Born and raised amidst the serene beauty of this land, I spent fifteen formative years steeped in its culture, its traditions, and its undeniable charm.

Yet, as life often does, it beckoned me elsewhere. Across borders and into the embrace of the Netherlands, I ventured, sensing a restless spirit within me that yearned for new horizons. Thirty years I spent in this land of windmills and tulip fields, building a life, forging connections, and yet, never quite feeling anchored.

For deep within me, there stirred a longingโ€”a yearning for a place I had never called home but had always held in my heart. Thailand, with its vibrant culture and echoes of my Thai roots, called out to me, its siren song tempting me to stray from the path I had tread for so long.

And so, time and again, I sought to answer that call, to cast off the ties that bound me to the Netherlands and set sail for the land of my ancestors. But fate had other plans, weaving a different narrative into the tapestry of my life.

For it was in the in the expat community Internations in the Netherlands that I met herโ€”my Japanese wife, a beacon of light amidst the uncertainty that clouded my path. And in her, I found not just love, but a new chapter waiting to be writtenโ€”a chapter that would take me across oceans and into the heart of the Land of the Rising Sun.

Now, here I stand, a year into in Japan I call my home now, and I find myself awash in a sea of wonder and discovery. In this land of ancient traditions and cutting-edge innovation, I have found a homeโ€”a place where the past and the future converge in a harmonious dance.

But as I reflect on the years that have brought me to this moment, I cannot help but discern a patternโ€”a rhythm that beats in time with the ebb and flow of my life. Fifteen years in Switzerland, thirty in the Netherlands, and now, perhaps fifteen more in Japanโ€”each a chapter in the story of my existence.

Yet, even as I immerse myself in the beauty of Japan, I know that my journey is far from over. For deep within me, the call of Thailand still lingersโ€”a promise of another chapter yet to be written, another adventure waiting to unfold. Who knows, for now only time will tell.

Life is full of adventure and surprises, and often takes us down routes that we never imagined or planned. And as you rightly said, only time will tell what the next chapter will have to offer.
