So, while I’ve been cruising around Gifu, I couldn’t help but notice something kinda interesting โ€“ tons of hotels with these quirky names lining the roads. Turns out, they’re actually love hotels! And there are loads of them!

They’re a bit different from your usual stay-over spots. Picture this: themed rooms, sneaky entrances, and all the little extras to set the mood for, well, some romance! They’re all over Japan, especially in the cities, and they’re a hit with couples for all sorts of reasons โ€“ dates, getaways, or just a quick break from reality.

Love hotels work on a pay-as-you-go system. So, instead of booking a whole night, you can rent a room for just a few hours.

While love hotels aren’t exactly a secret elsewhere, they’re not as out in the open as they are in Japan. Over here, they’re totally normal and part of the whole hospitality scene.
