Today unfolded into another beautiful chapter in our garden saga.

Blessed with a radiant sun, cobalt skies, and a delightful 13 degrees, I found myself lost in the timeless rhythm of nurturing nature.

Our herb and vegetable haven is 60% prepped, adorned with meticulous lasagna layers, and the soil meticulously sieved to bid adieu to any pebble intruders.

Yet, I worry โ€“ will our precious seeds become a feast for the birds once they nestle in the raised bed?

Last year’s coriander flourished unexpectedly, while the Thai basil seeds didn’t sprout at all. Perhaps a bird’s delight or a dance with the soil’s secrets, it’s a mystery to me.

Regardless, in the photo, you’ll spot a multitude of seeds awaiting their new home, all at the request of Hiromi.
