Today, I spontaneously caught up with two of my old school buddies. Our friendship spans over 30 years, yet it feels like nothing has changed in our relationship between us.
Our lives have taken divergent paths, and over the years, we’ve undergone numerous transformations. As we reminisced about various life events, I blurted out that it seems like I’ve lived seven different lives already.
Reflecting on my experiences, it appears that approximately every seven years, my life undergoes profound changes. Looking back at those times feels surreal, like glimpsing into a dream where I was an entirely different person.
I no longer resonate with the older versions of myself, even though some people who’ve known me for years might still see me as the person I was 14 years ago, for instance.
Upon deeper reflection, I see this as a positive evolution. It signifies growth and a departure from circular patterns that lead nowhere.
After all, going in circles implies stagnation. It’s something worth pondering, isn’t it?
