Komorebi…have you experienced it?
I appreciate nature here in Japan.
Fortunately, I live in central Japan where I am surrounded by mountains, rivers and forests.
“Komorebi” is something I never understood and experienced until recently when I started hiking in the mountains and forests.

“Komorebi” is a beautiful and poetic Japanese word that doesn’t have an exact equivalent in English.

It refers to the dappled sunlight that filters through the leaves of trees.

It’s a phenomenon where sunlight is broken and scattered by the leaves or branches of trees, creating a play of light and shadows on the ground or other surfaces.

Komorebi is often associated with a sense of tranquility and natural beauty.

It’s a common theme in Japanese literature, poetry, and art, and it can evoke feelings of serenity and connection with nature.
